Today’s At Home with Flowers project- is a wonderful Pussy Willow Vase- inspired by my friend Judith Blacklock and Flora Magazine- from the UK… I was looking for something to do with my bountiful harvest of Pussy Willow Branches that come on every year in the garden… and Pussy Willow love to be pruned- it yields more Pussy Willows for the coming year… This project- is perfect- and it can do double duty- as a wonderful natural artistic sculpture- and also as an armature for Fresh Flowers- for the vase that is concealed inside.
I’ll show you how it’s done- and then we’ll fill the vase- with a 10 stem bunch of Yellow Asiatic Lilies- from my Friends at Holland America Flowers- (they are the Closed Caption Funder for my Public Television Show- “J Schwanke’s Life in Bloom”…
This is a fun project- that can be done on a small or large scale… I hope you enjoy it and are inspired to create your own…
